Rashee Rice of Kansas City Chiefs Involved in Significant Car Crash in Dallas

Dallas police searching for Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice after car accident. Officials confirm car linked to Rice, 23, crashed day before. Police stated that the accident occurred on North Central Expressway and they are currently looking for Rice. The Dallas Morning News obtained a police call sheet that confirmed the search for Rice. Rice's charges are unknown, as he is not found in jail records according to ESPN. 

Dallas PD told TMZ that officers responded to a crash involving a Corvette and a Lamborghini. Both drivers were speeding in the far-left lane. The Lamborghini swerved onto the shoulder and collided with the center median wall, causing a chain reaction with four other vehicles. The Lamborghini and Corvette drivers fled the scene, ignoring potential injuries. Two drivers received minor treatment at the scene, while two other occupants were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. The investigation and identification of suspects are ongoing. 

Rice has not publicly addressed the investigation or his alleged involvement. Rice drafted by Chiefs in 2023 2nd round. Ended rookie season with Super Bowl LVIII win in Feb. "I won't lie, it's insane," Rice exclaimed to sportscasters after the NFL championship in Las Vegas. "I just sat in the end zone and watched the confetti rain down." I wasn't there with the team and it's really surreal. Talking about it just feels different. We're on top of the world, this is crazy. 

In his rookie year, Rice had 79 regular season receptions and 26 in the postseason. The stadium, including Taylor Swift, the girlfriend of Chiefs' Travis Kelce, would cheer as he made impressive catches. Swift, 34, is a devoted Chiefs Kingdom fan. However, Rice maintained a composed demeanor in the presence of the pop star. In a December 2023 episode of Fubo Sports' "Airing It Out" podcast, Rice stated, "I've seen her, but I didn't approach her for a picture or anything like that." 

"If my girl was there, I might have asked, 'Can we take a picture with the girls together?'" Rice expressed gratitude towards Kelce, 34, and quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who took him under their wing and included him in their inner circle. “You know, they invite us out because we're the only ones who see and know them beyond their fame. It's not just about them being superstar football players, they're just Pat and Trav."
