Stephen Colletti and his fiancée, Alex Weaver, are gearing up for their upcoming wedding, and the excitement is palpable. In an exclusive interview with media at the Change Your Brain Foundation x The Lemons Foundation’s Pickleball Tournament on Saturday, March 23, the 38-year-old actor shared insights into their wedding plans.
Colletti expressed their approach to the wedding preparations, stating, “Things are going very well. It’s been a lot of different options that we’re exploring. Everything’s kind of on the table as far as whether it’s gonna be a big wedding or a very small wedding and if we do small, how small.” The One Tree Hill alum emphasized that they are in no rush to exchange vows, giving credit to Weaver, a NASCAR reporter and host, for her handling of many aspects of the planning process.
“She’s been handling a lot of it and she asked me to come in and support and so I’m there when necessary,” Colletti said, highlighting Weaver’s role in shaping their wedding vision. He added, “It’s still coming into focus for us exactly what we want to do, because there’s a lot of options on the table.”
Colletti couldn’t help but praise his fiancée, describing her as a source of inspiration and growth in his life. He remarked, “She’s making me a better man. She is a classy, southern belle, and I’m a kid who grew up on the beach in Southern California chilling at Wahoo’s Fish Taco, wondering how the surf is today. She’s a classy girl who is very ambitious and driven and has a lot going on in her life. I just admire her a lot.”
In a lighthearted tone, the former Laguna Beach star joked about his Instagram feed becoming an "Alex Weaver fan club," playfully acknowledging his frequent posts featuring his fiancée. Weaver had previously announced their engagement in November 2023, sharing heartfelt photos from Colletti's proposal in Rome.
The couple's journey began in 2022, with Colletti confirming their romance in August of that year. Their affection for each other shines through social media exchanges, with Colletti captioning one photo, “Magic hours are a bit more magical this year. 😎 @al_weave,” to which Weaver replied, “Luckiest girl,” accompanied by a white heart emoji.
Outside of wedding plans, Colletti remains committed to supporting charitable causes, including fellow Laguna Beach alum Jason Wahler's Change Your Brain Foundation. Reflecting on Wahler's transformation, Colletti expressed pride and admiration, highlighting their enduring friendship.
“I’ve obviously known Jason for a long time and to see how far he’s come. I knew him when we were both quite knuckleheads back in the day and now he’s a family man,” Colletti shared, emphasizing his support for Wahler's endeavors. “I’m just very proud of him. I’m very happy to see him as he is now. When he invited me out, I was like, ‘Oh, yeah, man. I’ll show up. Absolutely.’”
