Throwback Clip from Easter 1990 Shows Taylor Swift in Bunny Costume with Mom Andrea

Swifties celebrate Taylor Swift's love for dropping Easter eggs with a throwback clip posted by her management team, Taylor Nation, showing a baby Swift in a bunny suit with her mother, Andrea Swift. Andrea cooed at her 34-year-old daughter in a video from March 14, 1990. The baby pop star, wearing a pink and white fuzzy suit with bunny ears, waved her little arms at the camera. "Dropping Easter eggs since '89. Share your favorite finds over the years! 🐰🥚" 

The term "Easter egg" refers to hidden messages in pop culture that reference other projects or offer hints about upcoming events. Swift is known for including them in her songs and videos from the start of her career. Her Easter eggs were hidden messages in album liner notes using capital letters to explain song meanings. She recently teased her upcoming album, The Tortured Poet's Department, and revealed it at the 2024 Grammy Awards in Feb. 

In the 'Bejeweled' music video from the album Midnights, Swift held a clock that said 'Exile ends' with the numbers 2 and 3. In retrospect, fans noted that 2/3 symbolized the day prior to her new Era reveal. Another clue emerged in October 2023 when Swift and collaborator Jack Antonoff posed with 11 fingers raised in studio photos. They hinted at her 11th studio album release. 

Swift mentioned she and her brother enjoy Easter egg breaking contests. Swift's Easter plans for 2024 are undisclosed, but recently she was seen holidaying in the Bahamas with boyfriend Travis Kelce. They took a break from her Eras Tour for this trip.
