Anna Paquin appears on the red carpet with a cane following challenging health problems

Anna Paquin walked the red carpet with a cane due to undisclosed health issues but still posed for photos with a smile at the premiere of her new film in New York City. Paquin, 41, held a black walking stick in her right hand, standing alone or with her husband, Stephen Moyer, who directed the film. The Oscar winner sported a black minidress with long sleeves, a mock turtleneck, and sharp shoulder pads. She styled her hair in a sleek updo and paired it with black tights and heels.

Paquin did not disclose the reasons for her health issues, but mentioned that the past two years have been challenging. "It hasn't been easy," she said. A source later revealed that the actress "will hopefully fully recover." "Paquin raved about working with Moyer, 54, and having him as her support system. "He's my favorite person to play with," she said." "I'm not sentimental about work."

The "True Blood" alum hasn't red carpeted since October 2022 at the Raindance Film Festival. She posed with Moyer, but didn't use a cane. They got married in 2010 and have 11-year-old twins: daughter Poppy and son Charlie.
