Cassie, ex of Sean "Diddy" Combs, reportedly cooperating with federal investigators. Accused Combs of rape and abuse in November, now involved in sex trafficking investigation. R&B singer, 37, has been collaborating with law enforcement for weeks prior to the raids on the rapper's homes in LA and Miami. Homeland Security conducted searches at Combs' two main residences last week with search warrants from New York's Southern District federal court.
Other women are in touch with federal investigators regarding the case. Cassie's representatives have not responded to media request for comment. Cassie was the first to accuse the rapper of abuse in their 10-year relationship. In her lawsuit, she alleged that he raped her, coerced drug use, and filmed her having sex with male prostitutes. The lawsuit claimed that Diddy, who denied all allegations, frequently and savagely beat Ms. Ventura before their 2018 separation.
Cassie, in her interview with media, stated that she was now ready to share her story and advocate for women facing relationship violence and abuse. The "I'll Be Missing You" singer and Cassie quickly settled the case within 24 hours. Since then, more people, including producer Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones, have accused Combs of sexual assault. Jones accused his ex-employer of sexually assaulting him multiple times between Sept. 2022 and Nov. 2023 in a lawsuit filed in Feb.
The producer claimed Diddy would grope his genitals and touch his anus to manipulate him for sex. Jones stated that Combs would dismiss his sexual advances as "horseplay" and also claimed that Combs coerced him into engaging with sex workers, including allegedly drugging and assaulting him at a party. Combs denied Jones' allegations. A month later, federal agents raided the rapper's properties.
Photos from the raids showed armed officers entering the estates and arresting Combs' sons, Justin, 30, and Christian, 26. The men were questioned and then released by the police. Combs was at Miami airport during the search. He has not been arrested or charged and has been staying at his Florida home. Attorney Aaron Dyer called the raids a "witch hunt" in a statement. The ambush, combined with media presence, leads to premature judgment of Mr.
"Dyer dismissed Combs as a meritless witch hunt based on unfounded lawsuits."
