Jeezy Seeks Primary Custody of Their 2-Year-Old Daughter in the Midst of His Divorce from Jeannie Mai

Jeezy is seeking primary custody of his 2-year-old daughter amid their divorce. Jeezy, 46, filed for custody on April 10. The rapper, Jay Jenkins, wanted to amend the custody agreement with his ex because their toddler wants to live with him full-time due to his ex's busy schedule. He claimed that he agreed to move into the basement of their home, but she moved out and took their daughter. After Mai left, Jeezy said that Mai's brother and mother were primarily caring for their daughter. He thought Mai's current schedule wasn't ideal for their child and that she would be better off living with him full-time.

Besides seeking custody, Jeezy also alleges that Mai has denied him parenting time for the past two months. Apart from Monaco, Jeezy is the father of three children from previous relationships. Media has contacted Mai for a comment regarding Jeezy filing for divorce after two years of marriage. "Monaco? It's my North Star," Mai said on Sherri in October 20233. "I don't know if I could handle this without her."

One month later, Jeezy accused Mai of being a "gatekeeper" in their parenting arrangement, causing stress for their daughter. He stated that Mai's interference in his relationship with their child was causing confusion and tension, and hindering the development of his bond with the child. In the same month, Mai accused Jeezy of infidelity, and requested the judge to not enforce their prenuptial agreement due to a penalty for cheating during their marriage. Jeezy denies Mai's infidelity allegations. Jenkins' statements are false with no further comments, his rep said in December 2023."
