Prince Harry Enjoys Participating in Sentebale’s Royal Salute Polo Challenge

Prince Harry enjoyed playing in the Royal Salute Polo Challenge for his Sentebale nonprofit. He expressed gratitude for bringing together the supportive polo community. "Today, we raised funds to support local teams delivering life-changing programs. The Sentebale team’s commitment is crucial for children and young people in Lesotho and Botswana, providing hope, education, and solutions to social challenges like unemployment, poverty, and HIV/AIDS."

We thank all the guests, sponsors, and partners who came to support this important work. Special thanks to the players for making today's game possible. The Duke of Sussex, who co-founded Sentebale in 2006, played in the match at the Grand Champions Polo Club in Wellington, Florida. Harry played for the Royal Salute Sentebale team, winning 3-1 against the Grand Champions squad, including beating Nacho Figueras, a pro polo athlete and the duke's longtime friend, on Friday.

"Playing with my friend Prince Harry for Sentebale is a great honor. It's not just a game, but a joint effort to make a positive impact on those in need." Together, we aim to promote and aid Sentebale's essential cause. Following Harry's win, Meghan Markle awarded his team a trophy. Meghan, 42, looked stunning in a white Heidi Merrick halter dress, Aquazarra heels, vintage Chanel earrings, Valentino clutch, and oversized sunglasses. She presented Harry with the award and gave him a sweet kiss.

Harry moderated a fireside chat with Dr. Sophie Chandauka, the chair of Sentebale`s board, and Ntoli Moletsane, the country director of Sentebale, in addition to participating in a polo match. The trio discussed the organization's future goals and the ongoing challenges facing children in Africa. "We're two years away from celebrating our extraordinary organization's 20th Anniversary, and the ongoing support from every community we hold our fundraising events in shows that our work matters to people and our partners like Royal Salute," Chandauka said. No one values this support more than the children and young people who benefit from our programs, turning their potential into a successful future despite poverty and inequity challenges."
