Juan Vicente Pérez, the world's oldest man, has passed away before his 115th birthday. Freddy Bernal, the governor of Táchira in Venezuela, confirmed the news according to Guinness World Records. Pérez, born on May 27, 1909, was the ninth child out of ten.
Bernal shared messages/photos on X, expressing condolences and paying tribute to Juan Vicente Perez Mora. He described him as a humble, hard-working, peaceful man passionate about family and tradition. The governor mentioned that his wife and children had the pleasure of meeting him.
Bernal added that they will always remember Don Vicente for his optimism, faith, hope, and love for Tachira. "He will forever symbolize goodness, wisdom, and joy. His legacy lives eternally in our hearts and lives. Rest in peace, my dear old man, Don Juan Vicente." Venezuela's president, Nicolás Maduro, also paid his respects.

He had 11 kids - six sons and five daughters - with Ediofina del Rosario García. The ex-couple were married for 60 years until her death. Pérez had numerous descendants, including 42 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
In 2019, he celebrated his 110th birthday and became Venezuela's first male supercentenarian, as reported by Guinness. Pérez advised to work hard, rest on holidays, sleep early, have a daily drink, love God, and keep him in the heart. He prayed twice daily and wished to be remembered as a dedicated worker, faithful spouse, and religious individual.
