Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif. will offer $50 ticket prices this summer, but there's a catch. Theme park requires visitors to buy three-day, Mon-Thurs tickets at $149 for kids and $249 for adults, translating to around $50 per day for kids and $83 per day for adults. Three-day passes for weekends are available for $199 for children and $299 for adults, or $67 daily for kids and $100 daily for adults.
One-day/one-park tickets range from $104 to $194. The promotion is valid from June 10 to Sept. 26, according to The Mercury News. The tickets do not have to be used consecutively, but advance reservations are required for each visit. Disneyland warns that reservations are not guaranteed throughout the 15-week period the tickets are valid for, and reserving a visit time could become more challenging as the expiration date nears, per The Mercury News.
Tickets go on sale from May 29. Each purchase can include the "Park Hopper" option for access to multiple Disneyland parks in one day, and the Genie+ line-skipping service. Park Hopper tickets are usually $65 to $75 more than one-park tickets. Genie+ starts at $25 per person per day and allows you to avoid long waits. Disneyland uses surge pricing, as reported by Disney fan magazine WDW.
Disneyland is offering 20% off single-night stays during the week at Disneyland Hotel and Disney's Grand Californian Hotel as part of their summer special, with a 25% discount for stays of four nights or more at eligible hotels (excludes some suites and villas). The newly renovated Pixar Place Hotel is not part of the promotion. The promotion will run from June 10 to Sept. 26 and reservations can be made from May 29. Disney representatives did not respond promptly to The Post's comment request.
The enticing deal follows a recent announcement by Disney about price hikes of up to 10% at its California and Florida theme parks. In October, Disney increased Disneyland entry to $194, up 8.9%. At Disney World in Orlando, yearly passes increased by 10% - with the most expensive Incredi-Pass now priced at $1,449, up $50. Disney stated it wouldn't raise daily pass prices at Disney World and will maintain the cheapest full-price ticket at Disneyland at $104, which has remained unchanged for four years.
